Beautiful breasts contribute to a positive body image. Knowing that you look good contributes to your self esteem, but not every women feels this way. Some are self conscious as their breasts are too small. Other women feel their breasts are too large, causing physical discomfort as well as emotional distress. Breast Augmentation:
Breast augmentation enhances the size and shape of the breasts, making them look proportionate to your frame and naturally pretty. Uneven breasts can be made more symmetrical. In consultation with Dr. Howrigan, you will discuss your goals and the best approach toward achieving them. Usually the breast implant, a saline filled implant, is placed under the muscle. The surgical approach is individualized as each women is unique.

Breast Reduction:
Breast reduction can achieve better proportion and comfort for women with large breasts. When the breasts are large they make a women appear heavier, clothing choices are affected. Even activities, such as jogging or swimming, are affected due to discomfort or self consciousness. Physical discomfort in the upper back, neck and shoulders occurs on a regular basis.
At surgery, the breast is reduced and reshaped, removing skin and breast tissue. Some women may be candidates for vertical reduction, a short scar technique.
Breast reduction is sometimes covered by insurance. Our office will discuss this with you.

Mastopexy/Breast lift:
Pregnancy and weight loss can result in a loss of volume and shape of the breasts, more saggy, less firm. Mastopexy, or breast lift, can lift and reshape the breasts. Sometimes the breasts are augmented as well, to restore volume.
